Preparing for Battle

Have you ever wondered why Satanic opposition arises where Christians faithfully proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Satan has opposed the church throughout her history. He violently attacked the first-century church in every conceivable way. He continues to attack God's people any time they commit themselves to live according to His word. His attacks may come from within or from the outside, but the pattern never changes - he does not abandon his playbook. The Devil hates churches that faithfully preach the Gospel and suffer for the Name of Christ! As Peter warns: Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the Devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). How has God equipped His Church to oppose, withstand, and defeat Satan's attacks? We have entitled our upcoming series, "Preparing for Battle!" In this series, we will learn how we are to avoid being consumed by that enemy of old! And as it turns out, the Lord has provided us with all the armor required to withstand Satan's fiery arrows. Join us as we take up the Lord's armor in our struggle against the spiritual forces of wickedness (Eph 6:12).
