The Walk of Holiness
In these verses (Eph 4:17-32), Paul describes the two main commands for the walk of holiness for the believer (we will cover the first command today).
You are (not) to live as:
- The Heathen Ones (4:17-19)
- You are not to Walk:
- In Futility (4:17)
- In Darkness (4:18)
- In Sensuality (4:19)
- You are not to Walk:
- The Holy Ones (4:20-32)
- You are to walk:
- In the Truth
- In Renewal
- Consistent with the Law of Christ
- You are to walk:
“Holiness is the habit of being of one mind with God, according as we find His mind described in Scripture. It is the habit of agreeing in God’s judgment, hating what He hates, loving what He loves, and measuring everything in this world by the standard of His Word.” ~ J.C. Ryle
"In proportion as a church is holy, in that proportion will its testimony for Christ be powerful." ~ Charles Spurgeon.
