In this passage, Paul gives two marks of those who will have no part in the Kingdom of Christ and God (5:5). As a Christian, you must not be:
- Immoral in Your Conduct (5:3)
- Sexually Immoral (5:3)
- Impure (5:3)
- Greedy (5:3)
- Impure in Your Communication (5:4)
- Vulgarness (5:4)
- Foolish Talk (5:4)
- Coarse Jesting (5:4)
"The way to preserve the peace of the church is to preserve its purity." ~ Matthew Henry
"There is no remedy so powerful against the heat of concupiscence as the remembrance of our Savior's Passion. In all my difficulties I never found anything so efficacious as the wounds of Christ: In them I sleep secure; from them I derive new life." ~ Augustine
