Sermon Outline

Ephesians 5:15-17

Paul gives an essential guardrail that will protect from falling into the evil ways of the day. You must:

I. Regard Your Walk Carefully (5:15)

He gives four strategies for guarding your walk during these evil days. You must:

1. Redeem Your Weeks Closely (5:16)
2. Recognize Yahweh’s Will Conscientiously (5:17)
3. Realize the Spirit’s Work Consistently (5:18-20)
4. Reflect Your Roles Clearly (5:21)

  • "You can believe a whole lot of foolish things, but God doesn't want you to do that. He wants your faith to rest upon the Word of God." - J. Vernon McGee
  • "Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom." – Charles Spurgeon
