Instructions to the Husbands – 5:25-32

In Ephesians 5:25-33, Paul implores husbands to love their wives, then he gives three clear illustrations of this love. You must love your wives because of:

I. Christ’s Straightforward Command (to Love) (5:25a)

     2. The Command’s Ambition

II. Christ’s Sacrificial Love (5:25b)

III. Christ’s Steadfast Love (5:26-27)

     1. Illustrated by our Sanctification

IV. Christ’s Sincere Love (5:28-32)
